OMC - BRP Small V4 Gearcase

Small gearcases have 13 splines on the prop shaft and a 3-5/8" prop shaft hub.

Upper drive shafts, shift rods and water pumps aren't included.

Orders for 1991 and older models with 1-piece drive shafts require an upper drive shaft.

A drive shaft can be added to your order for $135 and a JE-410 water pump kit can be added for $55.

OMC - BRP Large V4 Gearcase

Large gearcases have 15 splines on the prop shaft and a 4-5/8" prop shaft hub.

Upper drive shafts, shift rods and water pumps aren't included.

1992 and newer models with a 2-piece drive shaft can re-use the old one, but you must disassemble the lower unit to remove it.

A drive shaft can be added to your order for $135 and a JE-410 water pump kit can be added for $55.

 

Important Info

Be sure to include your engine model number and shaft length when ordering.

Upper drive shaft, shift rod and water pump aren't included. Pre-1992 models with a 1 piece shaft must require an upper drive shaft. You can re-use the upper drive shaft in newer 2-piece models, but you must disassemble the drive to remove it, so most people just order a replacement.

Lower units are shipped without oil. Be sure to use the correct oil and filling technique recommended in your owner's manual.

New gearcases are assembled with all new parts. In some cases, they can be re-boxed OEM or pulled from a new motor that was converted to a jet, depending on availability.
