motors come with a one-year warranty. Gearcases are shipped without oil,
so be sure to use the proper gear oil and filling procedure listed in your
owner's manual. Core value is primarily based on the condition of your housing,
prop shaft and drive shaft.
Our prices include shipping in the continental US, including the return of your core for credit.

Measuring Shaft Length
Please be sure to measure your drive shaft when checking stock or placing an order.
Measure from the top of the shaft to the mating surface of the gear housing.
18" = Short Shaft (15"), 23" = Long Shaft (20"),
28" = Extra Long (XL, 25"), 33" = Extra Extra Long (XXL, 30").
Core Info
Core value is primarily based on the condition of the housing, prop shaft,
and drive shaft. You'll receive a core-return label for sending your old unit
back for credit -- do not return a core without the proper label.
Old style 150 XR4 and XR6 lower units with 4.25" diameter propeller hubs do not have any core value.
New Units
New gearcases are not OEM-boxed; they're either re-boxed OEM,
or assembled with all new parts, depending on availability.
Three-jaw lower units aren't available new. You can upgrade to a 6-jaw unit,
but you'll need to purchase a new shift rod from a Mercury/Mariner dealership.
3.0 Liter Units
Please specify whether your drive shaft has 9 or 13 splines on the drive shaft.
